In celebration of the 79th Venice Film Festival, we invite you to an evening on September 3rd from 6 pm at Palazzo Morosini del Pestrin for the exhibition Boundless, works by Caroline Dantheny curation Elisabeth de Brabant.The Exhibition presents the series of works from the artist’s collaboration with Jean-François Lesage and the most recent series from Venice.

The exhibition occupies the second floor of Palazzo Morosini del Pestrin presenting both the artist's paintings made in Venice over the last two years and embroidered paintings made in India from 2013 to 2018 in collaboration with master embroiderer Jean-François Lesage.

In January 2020 I moved to paint at Palazzo Morosini in Venice. The goal of my work was not to have one, to do, to discover, to experiment and to adapt myself to situations by answering them without questioning me. I arrive there after the terrible high water and live there in quarantine in a deserted and isolated Venice, victim of the virus.

"I stopped at the Tonnara di Scopello after several weeks on several years spent traveling through Sicily, I decided to settle there in winter, to re-read Homer and to paint close to the sea, on large free linen webs."

Part of "Bonjour India" festival, with the support of Alliance Française of Madras, Lesage interieurs, the French embassy in India and l’Institut français in India.

From 2010 till 2017, Caroline Dantheny started to work with the manufacture of embroideries Jean- François Lesage in Chennai. The first exhibition will take place in Chennai in January 2018.
